Auto-Offset

This chapter will outline the auto offset features in KipwareXC®.

This feature can be used to add or subtract values from pre-defined letter addresses. This feature can be used for scaling and shifting and can be set up to scale or shift different values based on user define start and stop commands.

The user can configure 10 areas each defined by it’s own start and end commands and shift amounts. For example, one area could be defined by a start command of T01 and an end command of M01 and configured to move the X and Y axis by 1 inch. Another area could be defined by a start command of T02 and an end command of M01 and configured to move the X and Y axis by 2 inch.

When the T01 command is found in the program, all X and Y coordinates would have 1 inch added to the existing value until the M01 command is found. When the T02 command is found, all X and Y coordinates would have 2 inches added to their existing values until the next M01 is found.

Shift amounts are available for X, Y, Z and R values found in the program. Users can input plus or minus values to be added or subtracted from the existing values found.

Users can also designate to include associated I,J and K values to be shifted by the values set for X, Y and Z.

Even though this feature is configured, users can choose to turn the feature on and off as desired.
